TWO sisters with local connections, the daughters of Ken and Grace Hart, of Narberth, together with three friends are at present climbing Mount Kiliminjaro in aid of Help for Heroes.

Sisters Nicola Francis and Sara Basnett from Newport, Gwent, together with Michelle Morris, Toni Tregidon-Bellew and Peggy McNamara set off on June 22 to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.

Nicola and Sara's brother Jason served in the Army for 24 years and Baz Basnett also served and Ben McNamara is still serving.

They have personally financed their own travelling expenses and equipment costs, so that all monies will go direct to this worthwhile charity.

So far they have raised in excess of £10,000 with monies still to be collected.
