In the Pembrokeshire Ladies Under 16s Championships held in Haverfordwest on Sunday, Pembroke Ladies Under 16s came out winners following an unbeaten run of games.
Played over two weekends, Pembroke Ladies Under 16s won all their games in the first weekend back in January and this weekend they again were unbeaten, drawing 0-0 with Haverfordwest in the first game and winning 2-0 against Carmarthen, 2-0 against Milford, 3-0 against Crymych and 1-0 against Fishguard.
A fine all round performance from the Pembroke Ladies squad saw sweeper Kathrine Frazer and goalkeeper Victoria Scourfield untroubled for most of the tournament, with fullbacks Cathrine McNally and Keira Bratcher able to push up the field. Captain Natasha Lawrence and her vice-captain Sian James controlled the centre of the midfield, with Rosie Hill, Rosie McBride and Carys Jones playing key roles in supporting the forward line of Claire Griffiths, Hayley Preece and Carrie Slack.
This gives Pembroke Ladies Under 16s the confidence required in playing against Swansea, Cwmtawe and Haverfordwest in the Welsh Under 16s Championships first round held in Llanelli next Sunday.
