MARIE Curie Cancer Care is looking for fun-loving ladies from West Wales to take part in their annual Ladies Driving Challenge. This year, the event will take place on August 3 at Pembrey Racing Circuit, Llanelli, and as always will raise money for the Marie Curie Research Institute, where world class scientists are investigating how cancer develops to find better ways of treating the disease in the future.  The popular event gives local ladies the chance to get behind the wheel of a range of exciting and unusual vehicles, such as a fire engine, a heavy goods vehicle and a 4x4 on an off-road course.  Community fund-raiser Katy Tadayon said: "The Ladies Driving Challenge is such a popular event and places are filling up fast. We have ladies who enter as individuals and also in teams of work colleagues or friends. It is so much fun and a really unforgettable experience." Each lady that takes part must pay a registration fee of £10 and then is asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
