Tenby Town Council are still on the lookout for a new member to join the chamber, following a recent resignation.

The town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, recently informed members that he would be advertising the casual vacancy for the office of councillor for the south ward, after the resignation of Clr. David Stock, with the vacancy to be filled through co-option.

Despite advertising the role in the local press, however, Mr. Davies told councillors at their meeting on Tuesday night, that he had not received one response for the post.

"It's quite a surprise that no one has shown an interest when people complain all the time about this and that. This is a chance for someone to get involved in town issues," said Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas.

The town clerk said he would extend the deadline for candidates to apply.
