The Tenby and District Branch of the Labour Party will resume their regular monthly meetings at St. Teilo's Church Hall, Tenby, on Saturday morning, February 21. Coffee is served from 10.45 am, followed by a short business meeting at 11 am.

The main focus of the meeting, to which supporters as well as members are invited, takes place from 11.30 am. This month concerns Labour's draft policies for the future. The Welsh Policy Forum issued these draft documents in November.

Three volunteer members from the branch, Vic Dennis, Trade Union activist, Mike Thorne, town councillor, and Maria Battle, lawyer, have studied these documents and will give their outlines of main points to the branch. Members will then vote on each of these draft policies and the results sent to Cardiff.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in forming future Labour policies, where members may vote and supporters can listen and understand this democratic process. It is hoped that as many members as possible will be present.

Confirmed speakers for future months will be announced at the meeting. The treasurer will report on the recent successful constituency dinner.

There will be discussion on MP Nick Ainger's recent participation in this week's Commons Select Fnance Committee's questioning of the country's leading banking chiefs, the result of whose actions has had such a wide and disastrous impact.
