Tenby Museum and Art Gallery was the recent recipient of a model of the old lifeboat station in Tenby. The model was made by 18-year-old Josh Stacey, of Gloucester, over a period of two years and is a true labour of love. Collections manager Mark Lewis stated: "Josh and I have been in communication regarding the model for around two years. Josh's aim in creating the model was to show the station as it would have been when it was an active lifeboat station and his attention to detail on the model has ensured that he has succeeded in doing this. It is great to see it in the flesh and Tenby Museum is extremely grateful to Josh for all his hard work and for entrusting us with his model." Josh has been interested in lifeboats from an early age and he and his family have been visiting Tenby for 15 years. On a beautiful sunny day in Tenby, the official donation took place in the museum's maritime gallery where the model will be soon displayed.
