Two kind-hearted ladies, Christine Young and Tracey Taylor, of The Coffee Lounge in Whitland, have come up with a wonderful idea and are now asking for help from the community.
The restaurant in the town’s St. John Street is currently closed due to the pandemic, but Christine and Tracey have decided to make use of their facility and skills in order to help anyone who finds themselves in difficulty, whether it be financial, emotional or just every day survival, by providing free hot meals three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Each bag will contain a nutritious main meal, a dessert, a small treat and a small note to lift spirits.
To help them with the project, they are kindly requesting donations of food items, packaging or a financial contribution towards the cost of ingredients purchased.
With the scheme up and running this week, they would really appreciate any help people may be able to give. Alternatively, if you are aware of someone who may benefit from a care package, please let them know.
You can contact these thoughtful ladies via email, telephone or Facebook messenger.
