Haven Holiday Parks - who have sites at Kiln Park by Tenby, Penally Court, and Lydstep Beach Holiday Village have announced today (Monday) that they have taken the decision to extend the closure of all their sites across the UK until July 2.

The company which announced at the end of last month that they had extended the closure of all their sites across the UK to cover the whole of May, has stated today that if they are allowed to open up sooner, under any instruction that the Government gives permission to re-open, then they will provide updates for owners.

“Following on from the Government update last night (Sunday), we have had a lot of excited Haven owners on the phones today asking us if they are now allowed back on park,” said a spokesperson for Haven Holiday Parks.

“As I am sure you aware, Boris Johnson urged the country to take its first tentative steps out of lockdown this week in his address to the nation.

“Whilst Mr Johnson has relaxed some of the rules around exercise and travelling in your car to visit the coast, we must stress that our parks are still very much closed and will remain closed until we receive Government instruction allowing us to reopen them.

“As it is clear that we will be unable to offer the usual Haven experience for longer than the current closure period, we have taken the decision to extend the closure of all our parks until July 2. If we are able to open sooner for you, our owners, then we will do so.

“Please be assured that we are as excited at the thought of welcoming all 25,000 of you back as I am sure you are at the prospect of being able to get back to your holiday home that you have with us at here at Haven,” they continued in corresponence to caravan owners.

“However, please remain patient and rest assured that we will contact you immediately and directly when we have been given the instruction that the Government has given us permission to re-open to our owners.

“Despite recent changes to the Government’s lockdown restrictions, the safety of our guests and team remains our number one priority and so under the ongoing circumstances, we believe keeping our parks closed is the right thing to do.

“We appreciate how disappointing this decision will be for those families that were due to stay with us during this time and wish we could have offered them the Haven experience they were so excited for.

“We’d like to apologise for the disruption caused by the extended closure and hope guests can understand the reason for our decision.

“We are in the process of contacting all those affected with the new options available to them and would encourage guests to continue to check both our website and social media channels for additional updates.

“Thank you to our guests and teams for their continued patience and support during what is undoubtedly a very tough time for so many.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our parks as soon as we feel it’s safe to do so,” they added.
