SPAN Arts' monthly Kill for a Seat Comedy nights at the Queen's Hall in Narberth seem to be going from strength to strength.

The next show, on Thursday, February 12, looks set to be a superb night, with the return of an absolute star of UK comedy, Anvil Springstien.

Anvil is a natural storyteller with a lightning-fast wit, whose rich and strange life provides the fuel for a spellbinding performance. He's known on the circuit as a comedian who takes audiences by storm, leaving them in tears of laughter within minutes of the show starting. This will be an unmissable night for connoisseurs of stand-up.

Anvil Springstien will be ably supported by Dave Longley, a relative newcomer to the comedy world, who has already made a big impact. Controversial and thought-provoking, Dave Longley is not afraid to tackle tricky subjects, and his intelligence and style have earned him a reputation as a 'comedian's comedian'.

The evening will be steered in masterful style by that charming king of comperes, Silky. Always a favourite at the Queen's Hall, Silky's warm good humour and effortless rapport with the crowd bring an instant glow to the evening.

The Kill for a Seat Comedy nights have been regular sell-outs, so advance booking is a must. Tickets are £9 or £7 for Span Arts members and concessions, and can now be purchased from Span Arts' website, http://www.span-arts.org.uk">www.span-arts.org.uk, or by calling (01834) 869323.
