After the setback at Herbrandston, the home side were in determined mood against a very good Camrose outfit who put three past Merlins Bridge only the week before. The squad has been given a further boost this week with the arrival of talented midfielder Oliver Morgan.

Conditions were near perfect and both teams served up some attractive football, but it was Kilgetty who made an early breakthrough after Dan Colley latched onto a Rob Whitfield through ball to score.

This calmed the nerves and allowed the homesters to put together some lovely football, constantly putting Camrose under pressure. The back four of Dean Lawrence, Adam Morgan, Barry Parsons and Paul Hodge still had plenty to do, but coped admirably with the Camrose attacking play.

When the ball did pass through, Shane Earp mopped up everything loose and saved Kilgetty on several occasions with superb goal-keeping.

The game was eventually won in midfield as Jack Bevan, Rob Whitfield and Oliver Morgan ran the show. Their contribution led to two more Colley goals, both well taken strikes that gave the Camrose 'keeper little chance.

Josh Bevan and Paul Brookes kept creating chances with some superb wing play. Dean Lawrence scored a beauty with a cracking shot from outside the area that nearly took the back of the net out.

In the second half, Bobby Bevan brought on Rob Colley and Sam Foster, showing what strength in depth Kilgetty have this season. Both had sound outings and Colley set up Oliver Morgan halfway through just outside the box, one look up and a wonderful touch lobbed the 'keeper to put the game to bed at five-nil.

This was a good performance, but Bevan and Grant James know its early days and the squad still have a lot in front of them to get anything out of the season.

Kilgetty squad: Rob Colley, Sam Foster, Barry Parsons, Dean Lawrence, Adam Morgan, Shane Earp, Paul Hodge, Dan Colley, Rob Whitfield, Jack Bevan (capt.), Oliver Morgan, Josh Bevan, Paul Brookes.
