KILGETTY SECONDS 13
NEYLAND SECONDS 3
Both teams observed a minute's silence for Mr. Mervyn Evans, who sadly passed away earlier in the week.
Kilgetty looked a different side from last week right from the kick-off and were 1-0 up within four minutes thanks to Barry Ormond.
Neyland were obviously rocked and never really recovered. Adam Thorne held the line well and his nerve to finish coolly in a manner well beyond his young years.
Kilgetty were then awarded a penalty and Alan Williams scored from the spot kick.
Neyland hit back with a well-taken goal by Alan Johnson.
Kilgetty's reply was instant when Williams got his second from 30 yards.
Neyland came back again when John Abbott caught Walwyn out at his near post.
Kilgetty took a 6-2 lead into half-time when Tom Dennis laid the ball off to Ormond down the right, Ormond then chipped the ball to the far post, where Dennis had continued his run to finish the move with a fine header.
After the break, Kilgetty continued to work hard, especially Ian Lewis and Ben Frost.
Richie Gwyther came on up front and Thorne dropped back to central midfield, leaving Kilgetty three at the back.
Kilgetty continued to press, with Lucas Gamble and Richie Gwyther picking up a goal apiece ,before Alan Johnson collected his second for Neyland.
Thorne, Ormond and Dennis all completed hat-tricks in a good team performance.
Both Ormond and Thorne have put a good case forward for a first team place after completing another comprehensive performance.
Many thanks to this week's match sponsor, Mr. Paul Gormer, managing director, Scaffold 2000.

ST. CLEARS U14s 6
KILGETTY U14s 1
Kilgetty travelled to St. Clears and played in a very entertaining game on a beautiful sunny day.
In a fairly even first-half, it was Kilgetty who took the lead when, after some good work by Ben Howells, the ball was picked up by Scott Evans who finished with a delightful chip which gave the 'keeper no chance.
Kilgetty narrowly missed the chance to make it 2-0 when a sharp turn and shot by Gavin Phillips struck the bar and was eventually scrambled clear.
Kilgetty went into half-time with a well-deserved lead.
The second-half was a more one-sided affair. After an early goal by St. Clears, they seized the initiative and in a good spell of sustained attacking football they scored four quick goals.
Kilgetty never gave up and played some good football and with a little more luck would have added to their tally, Karl Thomas leading the way with a high work-rate in the centre of midfield.
St. Clears eventually ran out 6-1 winners.
Kilgetty must take heart with this much-improved performance, with 100 per cent effort given by all the players for all of the game.
Thanks to supporting parents for their help.
Kilgetty fielded: Michael Nicholas, Michael Smith, Gareth Merriman, Vaughan James, James Owen, Gary John, Ben Howells, Scott Evans, Karl Thomas, Gavin Phillips, Curtis Harris.
KILGETTY U10s 11
MERLINS BRIDGE B U10s 0
A sunny morning greeted Merlins Bridge as they arrived to take on the Atlantic Hotel sponsored Kilgetty side.
Merlins Bridge kicked off, but were soon under pressure. Kilgetty passed the ball well, but could not convert their early chances.
Mathew Dick, Mathew Smith and Owain Evans at the heart of Kilgetty's defence prevented the Bridge from having any chances and supported the midfield at every opportunity.
Kilgetty finally made the breakthrough when Richard Cope slotted the ball in off the post. Before the Bridge could re-group, Cope had picked up another two goals to lead 3-0.
Callum Proctor and Ross Gray were turning the Bridge defence inside out. Before half-time, Kilgetty scored a further three goals, with Tom Baker picking up two and Ross Gray one.
Kilgetty and Merlins Bridge had 11 players in their squads and used all, making regular changes in order to give all players a good game.
Mathew Wall started in midfield before taking over the goalkeeping duties from Ryan Howells. Chris Millward and Jake Proctor took over in midfield, with Proctor picking up his first goal.
Within two minutes, his elder brother Callum also got on the score sheet with Kilgetty's eighth goal.
Mathew Dick now moved into midfield and set up Gray for his second goal.
Kilgetty continued to play good football throughout, with Cope completing the scoring with a further two goals, sealing an excellent team performance.
Many thanks to all the parents for their support, and to Alan Evans for supplying the drinks.
