Football Fixtures

Tomorrow (Saturday), Kilgetty are away to Llansamlet in the first round of the West Wales Intermediate Cup.

The Seconds are home to Milford United Seconds in Division Four of the Brains Beers (Whitland) Pembrokeshire Football League.

Kick-off for both matches is at 2.30 pm.

The club welcomes enquiries about sponsorship which should be addressed to team manager, Andrew Cope, on (01834) 811584.

Kilgetty and District Amateur Gardening Club

The club's Autumn Show was held in the first week of September and, despite the seemingly never ending rain that Pembrokeshire was experiencing, 12 members managed to put on a good show between them. Unfortunately, the vegetable section suffered most, with the complete absence of the usually popular class, tomatoes, although this was also down to a few members being unable to attend due to illness.

Thanks go to Jan Griffiths for, once again, judging the flower section and to Colwyn Evans for standing in at the last minute as vegetable judge.

It was good to see that some of the new members, who have extremely small gardens, managed to get first place with several of their entries.

Winner of the competition was P. Carswell with 18 points, closely followed by E. Pearce with 17 and third place went to B. Harvey with 10.

The next meeting on Monday, October 6, at the RAOB Club, Kilgetty, at 7.15 pm, will include a talk on herbs.
