1st Kilgetty Scout Group
On Monday evening, in glorious weather, over a 100 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from the 1st Kilgetty Scout Group, along with their families, and of course leaders, walked from the Scout Hut in Kilgetty down to Wisemans Bridge for their end of year barbecue. They were joined on the beach by other members and their families too. Grateful thanks go to Gareth and Suen, who were busy cooking and were ably helped by Janette, Sian, Andrea and Sharon, Nicola and others. Without their help it would not have been such a success - thanks to them all. Also thanks to butcher Andrew Rees, of Narberth, for the use of his barbecue and supplying the sausages and burgers - they were delicious. The group will be restarting meetings in the second week of September. On Monday, September 8, Cubs start at 5.30 pm or 6.30 pm (there are now two sessions due to large numbers); Scouts meet on Tuesday, September 9, at 6.30 pm; and Beavers begin on September 10, either at 5 pm or 6 pm (they have two sessions too). Members of the group hope everyone enjoys their summer holidays and look forward to seeing everyone back in September.
