Gareth Thomas Etches, aged 23, from Clayford Road, Kilgetty has graduated from Recruit Training Squadron at RAF Halton in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, after completing basic training. He won a Best Recruit award and will now go to RAF Boulmer to train as an aerospace systems operator. Gareth said: "I really enjoyed all aspects of the training, especially the ground defence and physical training elements. I am thrilled to have received the award for displaying the greatest effort and determination on my flight." Gareth went to St. Christopher's Senior School prior to joining the RAF. Squadron Leader John Banbrook, Officer Commanding Recruit Training Squadron, said: "Gareth has done well and proven to be one of the best trainees this year. The RAF are continuing the search for new recruits and I urge anybody interested in working in the demanding and fast-moving RAF environment to visit their local Armed Forces Careers Office.
