The annual Kilgetty in Bloom results have been revealed.
The 2025 contest was held on July 16, with the independent judges from outside of the area remarking that all the entries were of a ‘very high standard’ and they found it difficult to choose the winners of each class.
The competition was once again open to anyone in Kilgetty and Begelly villages and included various categories for gardeners to choose from.
The judges are not professional and although not expecting perfect gardens, were on the lookout for variety, colour, healthy plants and displays that were pleasing to the eye.
The awards presentation was held on July 30; where Margaret Moffat who organised the annual competition was thanked by everyone for the wonderful job she has done.
Results were as follows:
Class 1 (Front Garden - Mr. Monk Silver Challenge): 1st, J. Delaney; 2nd, V. Evans.
