Pembrokeshire has switched on to a new accolade - being home to the best decorated Christmas house in Britain. For Kilgetty's 'Mr. and Mrs. Christmas', Peter and Audrey Thomas, have won GMTV's annual Christmas lights competition. Just hours after their home was named as the best decorated house in Wales by viewers of ITV1Wales News, Peter and Audrey received a surprise visit from GMTV on Christmas Eve and were presented with two cheques for a sparkling £5,000 each - one for them to keep for themselves and one to be shared between the Wales Air Ambulance and Macmillan Nurses, the two charities the spectacular display, which also includes their neighbours' sparkly homes at St. Mary's Place, is raising money for. "It is absolutely fantastic," a delighted Audrey told the Observer. The grand total raised by the lights has topped last year's record-breaker and now stands at a staggering £16,103 (including the £5,000 GMTV prize money). Peter and Audrey are seen celebrating their success with daughter, Donna, daughter-in-law Sharon and grandchildren Nichola, Daniel and Lowri.
