It has been difficult for the Kilgetty sporting fraternity to keep in touch with one another recently because the Sports Club has been closed for refurbishment after the damage caused by the recent cold spell. Pipes froze and when they burst, the flow of water brought the ceiling down with incidental damage being caused as well.
Club secretary Rose Jenkins said: "We would like all players, officials and supporters to make every effort to attend so that we can appoint officers, including team captains, and make plans for the new season.
"We hope that the Sports Club will re-open during April, after being refurbished. New players are always welcome at Kilgetty and parents of young cricketers should note that any player of 12 years of age and upwards is eligible to play senior cricket.
