Problems relating to inconsiderate parking in Kilgetty has been flagged-up to local councillors.
In a report to Kilgetty/Begelly Community Council recently, County Councillor for the ward Cllr Alistair Cameron said that parking issues on Carmarthen Road, near the railway bridge had been reported to the Local Authority.
“Pembrokeshire County Council has added the double yellow lines on the shops near the railway bridge to their long list of requests to be monitored with a view to introducing a complete ban on stopping outside these shops even to load or unload items,” reported Cllr Cameron.
“It is a shame the owner of one of the businesses (whose parking on the double yellow lines has been the cause of complaints) has not been willing to engage to resolve the problem,” he added.
At the same meeting, when discussing disability access in the Community, Cllr Adams reported to fellow members that there were problems with cars parking on the pavement in Church Close causing difficulties for wheelchair users.
Cllr Jones reported that hedgerows had been trimmed back in Ryelands Lane, however there had been no response from Pembrokeshire County Council on the repairs required to the footpath/kerbs.
Cllr Cameron said he would speak again to the relevant department.
