The latest news and other main items discussed and agreed at the meeting were:
A meeting to discuss the Welsh Government's request that all town and community councils provide basic information on-line, such as agendas, minutes and councillor contact details, has now been arranged by Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC). The chair and clerk will attend and provide feedback to the next KBCC full council meeting.
KBCC will be attending a briefing by the leader of PCC and other cabinet members, to discuss the implications of this year's financial settlement and the process of reviewing service delivery, on December 11, at County Hall.
KBCC will be completing two questionnaires sent out by PCC on the future of bus services in the county and on PCC Improvement Objectives for 2014/15; both set against the background of PCC budget cuts in 2014/15.
It was good to see so many local residents attending the Remembrance Day Service in the Community Garden, Kilgetty. Once again it was a dry day.
Kilgetty's Christmas lights will be installed and turned on in early December.
Begelly-Kilgetty Community Association (BKCA): Work to clear scrub around the bunds in the Kilgetty play area has now been completed and paid for by BKCA.
A fund-raising event at the RAOB in Kilgetty has been arranged for November 29 with proceeds going to Diabetes UK and to the BKCA. A Mince Pie and Music event has also been arranged for December 12, at 2 pm, at the Community Centre, Kilgetty. A BKCA Table Top Sale takes place on December 7.
Planning: The following planning applications were discussed and no objections were raised by KBCC - Erection of two polytunnels at Forest Grove, Stepaside, Kilgetty; Construction of a zoo animal housing building and fenced enclosure at Folly Farm, Begelly.
County Clr. David Pugh's report: Clr. Pugh provided the following update. The single bin outside the public toilets in Kilgetty is shortly to be replaced by a new double bin. The single bin will be moved to the entrance of Kilgetty play area. The bin in the play area in Begelly will be moved to a more convenient location near to the bus shelter.
Bus shelters in Kilgetty had now been steam cleaned by PCC and replacement Perspex was now awaited for the shelter in Ryelands Lane.
PCC will shortly be installing the new bench, purchased by KBCC, for siting halfway up Begelly Hill, near to St. Mary's Church.
