The latest meeting of Kilgetty Begelly Community Council took place last week at Kilgetty Begelly Community Centre. The main items discussed at the meeting were:
A member of the public raised concerns about noise and safety issues caused by skateboarding taking place in Church Close, Kilgetty. The concerns are to be brought to the attention of the local community police officer and school.
The annual audit iss nearing completion and local electors can view the accounts by contacting the clerk.
The Community Association has made progress in connecting electric and water into the Community Garden. A financial donation for spending on the garden has been received from the RAOB by the association. Further willow work decoration in the garden is planned for the new year. The association is also considering the possibility of holding car boot sales on the Common starting next year, although some issues need clarifying before confirmation.
Councillors expressed concern about potential traffic hazards at the entrance/exit to the Kilgetty surgery car park, particularly with buses pulling in to the bus stop bay. Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC) are to be asked for their views.
Latest news on the installation of a hand rail at the entrance to Mayfield Acres is to be sought from PCC.
Councillors agreed to make a charitable donation to the Harriet Davis Seaside Holiday Trust for Disabled Children, based in Tenby.
The council is to support the retention of the Minor Injuries Unit in Tenby in its response to Hywel Dda's current consultation document, 'Your Health - Your Future'
Concerns over the deteriorating condition of the surface of the car park adjacent to the surgery were raised and will be pursued by the clerk.
Planning: Extension to garage to form ancillary storage area at Windy Hill Holiday Park, Stepaside (no objections); erection of garage at Santiago, Ryelands Lane, Kilgetty (no objections).

Next meeting: The next meeting of the council takes place on Thursday, November 8, commencing at 7 pm, in the Green Room, Community Centre, Kilgetty. The minutes of the September meeting have been verified and are available for inspection 15 minutes prior to the November meeting. November planning applications will also be made available for inspection 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
