Before the start of the October meeting of Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council, Rachel Gibby gave a talk on the 'Good Neighbour Scheme'.

Within the next few weeks, local residents will receive information through the post about the scheme. The council felt that this scheme would be of great benefit to the local community. It is hoped that the community will support and make use of the scheme.

A presentation will be held for the six charities that have received donations from the community council. This will take place on Thursday, November 13, prior to the council meeting.

Unfortunately, this year there have been no nominations for the 'Certificate of Achievement Award'. The certificate is awarded to any individual or group of people who residents think should be nominated for their good deeds, volunteering their time and effort for the good of community etc. If you know of an individual or group who you think deserves such a certificate, please write to the clerk, Miss Louise Curran, Awel-Y-Mor, Pendine, Carmarthen (tel. 07919 837745).

New street lights have been erected in Church Close.

The section of the multi user path in Templeton has been started.

The council formally adopted the new Code of Conduct. This code can be inspected by contacting the clerk.
