The following issues were discussed at the October meeting of Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council: Kingsmoor Common: The council had received a letter from the legal dept., inquiring if they were prepared to proceed on the basis that they would enter into any relevant Deed of Easement with Welsh Water direct. It was agreed to write confirming that they were keen to conclude the matter and would therefore approach Welsh Water direct. The annual return, 2003-2004, was presented to council and approved and accepted. The annual return and notice of conclusion of audit would be displayed at the council office in Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty, for 14 days. The council was pleased to announce that Mrs. Ann Morgan and Mike and Kath Breen had been nominated for the Certificate of Achievement Award. The presentation date would be advised next month. The Certificate of Achievement is awarded to any individual or group of people who residents think should be nominated for their good deeds and volunteering their time and effort for the good of the community. If you know of a person or group who you think deserves an award, then please write to the clerk at the council office. There had been another report of vandalism to the Scout Hut. The council was waiting for quotes for new village noticeboards, which would be erected in front of the walls left bare with the removal of the BT kiosks. Tenders are being received for the re-siting of the bunds on Kingsmoor Common. Anyone wishing to tender, please contact the clerk.
