The annual return for 2002-2003 was presented to council and approved and accepted.
Casual vacancy: The council was pleased to accept two applicants, one representing Begelly ward and the other Kilgetty ward.
The speed monitoring in Ryelands Lane was to continue.
The Community Association informed the council that Mr. Peter Thomas, St. Mary's Close, would be turning on his Christmas lights on November 29. The Christmas trees would be placed at St. Mary's Church, Begelly; The Grange, Carmarthen Road; the White Horse; and the Community Centre.
Short mat bowls was now being played on Monday afternoons at the Community Centre.
A reminder was given that bus passes can be used anywhere in Wales and on trains at a concessionary rate.
Planning applications received this month were as follows: extension and alterations to existing gristmill, Langdon Mill, Jeffreyston; re-development of retail store (Class A1), Co-op Pioneer Store and adjoining land, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty; erection of dwelling, Camelot, Begelly; one dwelling, plot 4, Church View, Begelly; new fascia signage, Co-op Store, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty.
Planning permission had been given for the provision of a beer cellar at Manian Lodge, while notice was received that a further application for redevelopment of retail store (Class A1), Co-op Pioneer Store, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty, had been withdrawn.
Members also heard that there would be a temporary 40 mph speed limit west of Llanteg to east of Broadmoor, on TRA477, from March 1, for 25 weeks.
The next meeting of the council will be on Thursday, December 11, at 7.30 pm, at the Community Centre, Kilgetty.
