The following issues were discussed at the last community council meeting:
The community councillors would like to congratulate everyone from the association who were involved in the organisation of the Jubilee Festival and Summer Carnival, it was a great weekend.
It was discussed at the council meeting that a Recognition Certificate is awarded and would like nominations of a person, group or community event. All you have to do is submit your nomination with a short narrative as to why you think your nomination should win. Please address your nomination to: The Clerk, Kilgetty Begelly Community Council, Council Office, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty.
Be advised that the county council and Tenby Police have been advised of the speeding in Reynalton along the 30 mph limit. The council have requested monitoring and a safety sign 'Caution children'.
Residents of Parsonage Lane and Ryelands Lane are advised that the grass cutting will cease until the dog fouling stops; this is a health hazard to children and to the people who keep these areas tidy. Please be more responsible.
Planning: The following plans were received: Road, Catershook Farm, Templeton; Rear extension, 32 Park Avenue, Kilgetty; Retention of static caravan, Hillcrest, Reynalton; Redevelopment of retail store (Class A) and car park, upgrading community uses, revised access and landscaping, Co-op Pioneer Store and adjoining land, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty; Refurbishment and extension of existing farmhouse, Begelly Bottom Farmhouse, Begelly.
The following plans have been given planning permission: Erect PVC conservatory to rear of property, 40 Ryelands Lane, Kilgetty.
County Council arranged a site visit on Tuesday, September 17, with the community councillors at Stepaside School regarding the concerns of children's safety.
