Despite being defeated this week in the US Presidency election, Democrat challenger John Kerry still gets the vote from Tenby Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane. Tenby had been rooting for the Colorado senator to be the next President, after discovering he had ancestry tracing back to the town. But alas the 'Tenby boy' came up just short, as George Bush was voted in on Wednesday for another term in the White House. However, Clr. Mrs. Lane still assured Senator Kerry that a warm welcome was awaiting him in the seaside town, should he fancy a visit. "We've written to Senator Kerry on behalf of the town council, offering our commiserations that he wasn't elected, but he will always receive a warm reception in Tenby should he take us up on our invite," she said.
