Greg's brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Sheila Ralph, thoughtfully arranged for the couple to receive the Observer.
"We hope that the current 'cold-spell' did not too adversely affect the traditionally warm Pembrokeshire peninsular but, if it did, then we send the attached images of the Observer being read in the warmth and sunshine of WA," said Greg.
"Carolyn wanted to be 'PC' and read the paper Welsh fashion, whereas I can only read Australian these days. We hope you find the pics amusing."
He added: "Notwithstanding that I have not lived in Pembrokeshire for more than 50 years; I have still found your reports of local activities extremely interesting. Naturally, I expected to see few people I knew but, I do recognise a few names occasionally. I am an honorary member of the RAAFA Sunderland Group here in Perth and the various features involving these flying boats, we grew up with, are highly exciting. There has been enough in each of the issues I have so far received to keep my interest and I now look forward to a fresh paper each week."
