Fresh, and back from our 'Church Weekend' away at Hebron Hall in Dinas Powys, the KCF Sunday meeting began with many people, of all ages and backgrounds, expressing praise and giving good reports of what God had done for them personally over the weekend. A good time, had by all, without exception! The theme for KCF going forward into 2007 is 'What kind of house will you build for me?' and in answer to this question, Paul Dando spoke on God's house being 'A House of Testimony'. It was a good Sunday to take this as a theme because testimonies/reports speaking of God's goodness and prayers being answered were being expressed quite spontaneously; testimonies of healing, of comfort and new experiences of God's power in the lives of ordinary people, with an extraordinary God. Being a Christian is not just about Sunday meetings; as Paul explained there are many areas which are affected by faith. Three of these are personal testimony - you cannot be a Christian without having a personal experience and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The second is living a life that speaks of that relationship. Thirdly, being good stewards of all that God has blessed us with. The key being not through coercion, emotion or legalism, but through love. This was about the real Christian life, a life of faith that extends into every area of life, moulding and shaping those willing to take up its challenges. We are called to be soldiers not holiday reps, doers not dreamers, tasters not merely seers. Christianity is for the brave, not the faint-hearted. Most of us are not brave, but then doesn't it say that God takes the weak to show that the ability to live the Christian life comes from Him not from us? KCF West Wales is an all age church who meet every Sunday at 10.30 am in the Queen's Hall, Narberth. Our main offices are at The Courthouse, Market Square, Narberth. We are a member of the Evangelical Alliance and a registered charity.
