Pembroke U15s 0 Milford 0 Pembroke played host to Milford Under 15s in their third fixture of the Under 15s Pembrokeshire League. Milford started this game strongly, displaying a high standard of ball control, together with excellent movement off the ball, which caused Pembroke problems and had them under pressure from the whistle. Excellent defending by Pembroke's sweeper, Catrin Cox, and goalkeeper, Chelsea Butland, prevented Milford's forwards from converting the numerous chances created. The midfield of Harriett Newman, Libby Roberts, Emily Morris and Kate Roberts worked hard to alleviate the pressure Milford were placing on the defence of Rebecca Brayford and Kirston Rogers. Pembroke started to work together as a unit, with forwards Danniella Griffiths and Saskia Boissevain winning several short corners that could not be converted. While Milford will feel that they had enough pressure to secure all three points, Pembroke showed great character and work rate to secure a 0-0 draw. Well done girls! Pembroke U18s 9 Fishguard 0 Pembroke started this fixture in determined mood, creating numerous chances from the outset which had Fishguard pinned in their own goalmouth for much of the first half. Excellent work by the Fishguard goalkeeper prevented Pembroke running away with this fixture. Carys Jones and Sarah Lunn had excellent scoring opportunities, created by the midfield of Nadia Lawrence, Katherine Hunter, Catherine McNally, Claire Lewis and Rosie McBride, but with Fishguard defending for their lives and their 'keeper in outstanding form, many chances went begging. The defence of Hannah Thomas, Gemma Owens, Jemma Preece, Carla Jones, Laura Scott and Victoria Scourfield were untroubled. Credit must go to Fishguard for their hard work and commitment, but Pembroke proved too strong on the day.
