With one of largest number of entries in the history of the event, the judges, Cynthia Scourfield-Lewis, Duncan Hilling and Nick Bayley, had an extremely busy day on Tuesday viewing the colourful displays.
In the morning, the judges viewed the displays outside the town walls, while after lunch with the Bloom committee at the Fourcroft Hotel, they viewed the entries within the walls, before retiring to total up the scores.
"The judges were on the whole very pleased, but were very disappointed in the centre of town, especially Tudor Square and High Street," commented Bloom secretary, Jan Griffiths.
"Although not in the competition, the judges felt that the Plantagenet House and the Crown Inn were worthy of a mention," she added.
The presentation ceremony for the competition, which this year has been sponsored by Serendipity Holdings, will be held next Thursday, July 19, at the Imperial Hotel, Tenby, commemcing at 10.30 am.
