Tenby's 'play park project' has received a boost this week, with the news that Pembrokeshire County Council has granted the scheme £20,000 from its Community Regeneration Fund.
Friends of the Jubilee Park are currently campaigning to raise funds for the 'rebuild' of the premier play park overlooking the South Beach, with the total project cost at £84,228.
"Obviously we're delighted and we thank PCC for their generous support for our project to improve facilities for the young people of our area," said Friends of the Jubilee Park secretary, Andrew Davies.
"With the amount donated by Tenby Town Council, donations from individuals and organisations and the fund-raising by the Friends, this leaves us with approximately £25,000 to go," he added.
