In conjunction with Tenby Arts Festival, which begins tomorrow (Saturday), businesses, shops, bars and restaurants in the town are being invited to join in with a competition for having the best decorated festival themed window or menu. Dress shops or hairdressers for example could try a '50s theme to go with the Dylan Thomas Tribute Day, while bars, restaurants and cafés could offer festival specials such as kangaroo steaks to go for the Sydney Welsh Choir, or absinthe with the Camille Claudel talk. With prizes up for grabs for the winners, here's a list of some of the events at the festival which runs until Saturday, September 27: Poetry Please, Pint Sized Plays, Sydney Welsh Choir, A talk on Rhodin's Lover, Tim Kliphuis Trio's Gypsy Jazz, Bogdan Vacarescu's classical violin programme, An evening of Mozart Opera, Dylan Thomas Tribute Day - with poetry readings and perfomances of Under Milk Wood and Stan Tracey's Jazz Under Milk Wood Suite. First prize will be £100, second £50 and third £25, with the awards judged by Tenby Arts Festival and funded by Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism.
