Narberth Rugby Club supporters have a remarkable record in winning first prize in the WRU Lottery and another long-standing member, John Morris, is the latest Narberth Rugby Club supporter to scoop the first prize of £6,000. In winning the May draw, Mr. Morris, who lives in Narberth, became the 10th supporter to win the coveted first prize. The lucky winner, a well-known local personality was general manager of the Clynderwen and Cardigan Farmers Ltd., prior to his retirement. Peter Barrett, Narberth Rugby Club's WRU Lottery coordinator, was over the moon with the win. He said: "I am delighted that John Morris has won as he has supported the scheme from its inception. "Remarkably, he is the 10th Narberth Rugby Club supporter to win first prize in the WRU Lottery since the scheme started and the fourth since January 2007!" Winners of the first prize in the monthly draw have the option of selecting either a Seat Ibiza car or the cash prize. Anyone wishing to join the scheme can either meet Peter Barrett at the clubhouse or telephone him on (01834) 861941.
