A group of older job seekers have raised hundreds of pounds for a local cancer charity.

Volunteers at the Experience Counts stall at the weekly Pembroke Dock market have raised over £300 towards the Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Unit Appeal.

The stall is run by volunteers from the Futureworks' Experience Counts project, which aims to help older people back into work by offering a range of supportive and skills opportunities.

The stall was set-up as a means of developing these employability skills.

Since its creation in May 2013, donations to local charities have exceeded £1,000 - with donations made to the children's cancer charity Latch, local charity PATCH, as well as the current Cancer Day Unit charity.

Experience Counts is a Life Skills Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and by European Social Funds - distributed through the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO).
