On Saturday, September 21, the Sunday School children from Jeffreyston Parishes travelled to the city of St. David's and joined others from the Diocese of St. David's to meet Bishop Carl at the Cathedral.

The morning part of the day was then spent in a series of workshops. In the afternoon the Cathedral was full for a grand service, the theme for which, as decided by Bishop Carl, as John 20 verse 18.

Each of the parishes represented had cleverly made banners, which were paraded in the Cathedral at the start of the service.

On Sunday, the 17th after Trinity, the Rector, Father Paul thanked those involved in making the banner for Jeffreyston. He then blessed the banner and thanked the children for their impeccable behaviour during their visit to the Cathedral, also the senior Sunday School pupils for the caring way in which they had looked after the younger ones. He also thanked Ian and Barbara for allowing use of their minibus and Messrs. K. P. Thomas for donating the fuel.

The Gospel reading for the day was Matthew 7 vv21-end and the text for the sermon was from verse 21 "Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father who is in heaven." Father Paul said that it was very necessary for us to listen to our inner voice, which reminds us of God's comforting words, as given in the Holy Scriptures.
