At the Eucharist service, on Sunday, the first after Trinity Sunday, the Bible readings were Leviticus 19 vv13-18, 1 John 4 vv7-13 and the gospel of Luke 16 vv19-end.
The Rector, Fr. Paul, referred to all the readings and the collect at the start of the Holy Eucharist service, but took as the text of his sermon words from verse 7 of 1 John 4 "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God..."
Fr. Paul said that as Christian thinking people we need to use our God given talents, both great and small, for the benefit of others.
Lauren from the Sunday School beautifully read out the closing prayer.
