The annual meeting of Jeffreyston Community Council was held recently when the following matters were discussed:

Appointment of chairman - Clr. R. S. Scourfield was appointed chairman for the ensuing year.

Appointment of vice-chairman - Clr. D. J. Scourfield was appointed vice-chairman for the ensuing year.

Local Development Plan -Members were informed of the timetable of the various stages of the LDP, culminating in its adoption in the winter of 2012/13. The current stage was consultation on Alternative Sites which extends from May 4 to June 16.

Planning matters - The council had no objection to a planning application for an extension to the dwelling known as Lanes End Lodge, Cresselly.

A copy of the planning approval in respect of the demolition of an extension outbuilding and construction of an extension at Nyth Gwennol, Jeffreyston, was received from Pembrokeshire County Council.

Highway matters - The breaking up of tarmac on the highway at Market Gate, Cresselly, on the road towards Londonderry, was reported and would be referred to Pembrokeshire County Council for remedial action.
