Saundersfoot’s X Factor star Jay James put on his football boots on on Saturday to take part in The Big Match Charity Football Event and Family Fun Day.
The annual event, which raises money for The Brain Tumour Charity and Action for Children, took place at Newbury FC, West Berkshire. It featured stars from Towie and CBB professional footballers past and present who all took part in a 90-minute charity match.
Jay was playing for The Brain Tumour Charity, and although he scored a belter, sadly his side lost after a dramatic penalty shootout!
The Big Match was started by Neil Humphries in 2012 after he lost his father to the condition and has so far raised over £230k for the two worthy causes.
Neil said: “The day was a great success and having Jay on the team sheet was absolutely fantastic. He is a real gent and was a real hit.”
Jay also performed in more familiar surroundings at ‘Extra Time,’ The Big Match after party where he headlined. Also performing were BGT dance duo Twist And Pulse.
