LOCAL X Factor hopeful Jay James received a standing ovation from a packed Wembley arena when he sang at the second set of auditions for the ITV show, shown on ITV on Sunday. The 30-year-old ex-Navy fitness instructor from Saundersfoot nailed his rendition of Coldplay's Fix You, wowed the judges and sailed through to boot camp. "That was a stunning performance," said Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Mel B added: "You've just got it. You've just got it!" Louis Walsh went on to say: "It was captivating - every single lyric. You're a brilliant interpreter of great songs. That is what this competition is about, finding someone like you," while Simon Cowell rounded off the panel's comments with: "Jay, you know what, we make shows like this to find people like you. I like the fact you're in the older category. "We're reaching a point in the music industry now where age is no longer a barrier. If you've got it, you've got it, and I think we've found someone really special."
