As part of Japan 2001, children at Tenby Infants School enjoyed a Japanese Day last Thursday.

Among activities were workshops on Japanese writing, how to put on a kimono, how to use chopsticks, origami and Japanese storytelling.

Some of the children in Year 1 are pictured here with Yoriko Omae, of Pembrokeshire College; Yukako Nakamura, assistant at Penally School; Hitomi Tsukiji, assistant at Ysgol Y Castell, Kidwelly; Lan Coates and organiser Kay Rook, who conducted the activities throughout the day.
