Residents of Jameston are immensely proud to have a new Village Hall to cater for all tastes.

Currently held at the hall are classes in sewing, art and tai-chi, while there are groups who meet just for a chat and coffee. On alternate Tuesdays, bingo and whist drives are held, which are really taking off, and there are lots of events booked for the next few months.

These include a table-top sale next Saturday, a Christmas Fayre in November and Manorbier Country Market and St. Johns Church will be holding their Christmas events in the following weeks.

"We have all state-of-the-art equipment to furnish any music or film event and we need everyone to support us to make the hall a success," said Jean Anslow, treasurer of Jameston Communty Association. "We are also appealing for new committee members to come forward and give us new ideas, particularly for the younger generation."
