Sir,

Having read the article carefully re. Health Care, I feel very strongly in favour of amalgamating boards. Whether political or down to the small concerns, they are top heavy financially.

If people were taught to think nowadays, they only have to look back a few years when almost everywhere progress was being made. Technology was obviously going to mean that hundreds, possibly thousands, were going to receive more health help.

If those in charge at this time had put more money into the NHS and kept this up every year since, no matter which political party took over, they wouldn't have such an appalling mess with which to cope.

People have two choices now - either put up with the waiting lists or be prepared to pay very large taxes. It is not possible to wave a magic wand to produce billions of pounds.
