Sir, Michael Doyle (Letters, January 23) is of course right in stating that Tenby needs its cinema. He asks: "How hard did the council try to entice a cinema company?" I imagine we all know the answer to that. It's another example of 'thinking small', something that blights so many aspects of the town. It absolutely beggars belief that such a popular holiday destination would not be able to sustain a cinema. It would do a roaring trade during the summer (especially on those rare rainy days) and could run a reduced programme in winter, perhaps doubling as a conference venue. It just takes vision.

Keith Clarke,

Tenby.
