Sir,

Many letters and articles have appeared in previous editions of the Tenby Observer about the De Valence and the state/future of the local cinema.

As a pure observer, would it not make sense for the De Valence to be used as a cinema, thus giving the establishment at the top of Upper Frog Street a regular revenue stream while at the same time taking the cinema off the issues list created by the longstanding Gatehouse saga. As and when required the establishment could easily revert to a stage cum audience venue should it be needed for a visiting show, or local function.

This idea will probably get an adverse reaction, which seems to be the norm with anything that suggests how we better utilise the facilities we have in the town, while at the same time 'helping' to take what is becoming a longstanding farcical situation of the Gatehouse forward.
