Is there any way back?

As a lifelong supporter of Tenby United RFC, I read with disbelief the report of the Trimsaran v Tenby United Division Four West match in last week's Observer.

To read that the United, one of the former giants of West Wales rugby, could only field 12 players for this important match, is beyond belief for a club with so much history and tradition. It must have been a humiliating experience for the 12 players who did turnout.

Also, I hear that over the last month or so, the 2nd XV have been unable to fulfil cup and league fixtures.

This unbelievable state of affairs is in contrast to Tenby's great local rivals, Whitland and Narberth, who both continue to thrive at the higher end of the Welsh National Leagues. Something has gone seriously wrong at Tenby United and I wonder if there is any way back?
