A sellout 400 kids aged between five and 14 kicked-off the weekend's Ironman Wales racing as they took to Tenby's sandy beaches for the IronKids swim-run event.
Participants were made up of local children, as well as those whose parents were competing in Sunday's Ironman Wales.
The kids were spurred on by the support of parents and local spectators who were also able to enjoy the views from the North Cliff which provided a spectacular vantage point.
The distances varied according to the age group, with the young athletes running from the start line to the sea for a 16 degree chilly splash along the sea edge before running back up the beach, cheered on all the way to the finish line.
Kevin Stewart, managing director Ironman UK and Ireland, said: "It's so fantastic to see so many kids getting a taste for the sport of triathlon in a competitive environment. Hopefully from having a go, it has made them feel part of the weekend's action and they will continue enjoying the sport of triathlon."
