Eighteen dancers from the Hynes School of Irish Dancing, based in Saundersfoot, travelled to Ireland for the weekend of February 14/15 to compete in the CRN Boyne and Overseas Regional Championships. The venue was the Gaelic Athletics Association in Cellbridge, County Kildare, on the outskirts of Dublin.

Julie Hynes, their teacher, was justifiably proud when all 18 dancers qualified in the solo dancing competitions, to go forward to the Regional Championship award section held on the Sunday. Further excitement was to follow when four of Julie's dancers achieved Regional Champion titles and the remaining dancers received high placing in the awards.

The dancers will now go forward to the Irish Open Championships to be held at the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght, Dublin, at the beginning of June, where they will compete against the qualifiers from all the regional competitions.
