Looking forward to crossing the Irish Sea to take part in a major competition are eight girls from Pembrokeshire’s Harries-Hardy School of Irish Dance.

Caitlin Rawlins, Rhiannon Mansfield, Gweni Edwards, Laura Evans, Leah Goffin, Anwen Rogers, Tess Moran and Molly McCarthy will all be dancing in the CRN Irish Open, which is being held in Dublin in May.

This follows their success at the event’s local qualifiers in Swanea, where Enya McGinty and Caitlin Payne also danced in their very first competition.

The school is taught by Katie Harries and Kira Hardy, who said: “We are extremely proud of our dancers for all their effort and dedication to the class, with consistent, pleasing results in both UK and overseas competitions.

The Harries-Hardy School of Irish Dance holds classes in Haverfordwest on Sunday mornings and in Narberth on Thursday afternoons.
