Sir, I haven't been on holiday to Tenby for many years, but was delighted to find myself here for over a week in glorious August weather. The town looks wonderful in its bright colours; the pedestrianisation of the walled town is an excellent move and I was disappointed to have so little time to spend here. My only gripe was the awful sand blower on the North Beach that ruined an entire day on the beach. The noise of the machine was intolerable and when I climbed out of the town on the coastal path to Saundersfoot I could still hear the abominable thing! Could I suggest that two men with a couple of stiff brooms would have made a much better job of shifting sand from the steps (the blower simply blows it up into the air and back onto the steps). They would have been quieter and more efficient and I would have lost a great less dental enamel from grinding my teeth during the hours that he destroyed the quiet of an otherwise perfect beach - please get rid of it!
