Harnessing the internet to boost business in Pembrokeshire is the theme of a series of workshops taking place in the county this month.
Organised by local tourist trade association, Pembrokeshire Tourism and its training partner, Gallu, the events take a look at the individual aspects of technology which will bring in more customers.
Small seminars will be held in pay-per-click advertising, making the most of search engines and confidence in using social media sites such as You Tube, TripAdvisor and Facebook.
They follow on from Pembrokeshire Tourism's successful Web Savvy event, which saw some of the organisation's 500-plus members meeting internet-related suppliers at Pembroke Dock's Technium Centre.
"Tourism operators understand that marketing is changing almost as rapidly as information technology itself, and we have assembled an impressive array of experts to deliver this message," said Pembrokeshire Tourism's vice-chairman, Chris Osborne.
Added Pembrokeshire Tourism's chief executive, Alison Belton: "Often, using new technology and changing working practices is about confidence, and that's what we are offering to local businesses."
Next Tuesday's (June 16) search engine optimisation workshop is fully booked, but places are still available for:
• Wednesday, June 24, Haverfordwest - setting up 'pay-per-click' advertising.
• Tuesday, June 30, Neyland - social media site confidence.
Each event takes place between 12.30 and 4.30 pm and is open to both members and non-members of Pembrokeshire Tourism.
