ART teacher Rebecca Brinton couldn't resist sending in this picture when she read about violinist Ruth Waterman's forthcoming visit to Colby Gallery.
Rebecca, who is currently taking part in the 'Tutors and Textiles' exhibition at Colby, says that the original of 'Violin on the Table' sold a while ago, but she thought this reproduction would highlight Ruth's book launch.
"I heard her talking about the book on Radio Four's 'Start the Week' recently, so was quite surprised to learn that she was coming to Pembrokeshire, let alone to the gallery where I'm exhibiting. I'm looking forward to meeting her on September 28... perhaps I'll be inspired to paint another violin."
Ruth Waterman is one of the UK's leading violinists; she is a regular broadcaster and lecturer, and is included in the latest edition of 'The Great Violinists'.
